Dear Parents,
As the end of the school year draws near I would like to thank you for
all your support of the school and the children. I would like to thank
Home and School for the many projects they did to help the school this
year. We have had an outstanding team with the leadership of Mrs.
Perrin. We have a special thank you to Cherry Sampson who will be
leaving our school, but will continue as a parish member. Cherry
has been an outstanding volunteer with Home and School and carnival
basket chairperson.
The eighth grade banquet and graduation were beautiful and we wish our
graduates the very best. Our Valedictorian was Justin Vempala with
a grade point average of 97.16 and the Salutatorian was Maria Castro
with an average of 97.00.
This summer we will have some classrooms refurbished, with new flooring,
painting and a much needed uplift. I am sorry to say we had no
parents volunteer to help with the painting on June 14, 15, or 16 so all
classrooms will not be done. We do have some student volunteers
and Mr. Z has some other volunteers so we will do the best we can.
If you can help during the summer with cleaning the school or
grounds for service hours please contact the school office in June or
the rectory in July, with your name, number and day or days you can help
and we will be sure Eloy gets this information. It is an excellent way
to earn service hours for next year or some still owed for this year.
Also we are looking for someone or a few people to chair the carnival
baskets for the school. Please this is a big money maker for us. I will
be happy to meet and discuss this with anyone that is willing to chair
or co-chair.
Remember that book fee's ($500.00 per student) were due at the end of
May and Technology fee of $200 per family is due by the end of this
school year, which is June 10th.
